Vs Linfield Swifts (27th April, Home, League)

The Seconds lifted the Reserve League title at Ferney Park on Saturday, and they did it in style with a 4-1 win.

The Mallards took the lead when Johnny Hoy's inswinging free kick was flicked into the net by a Linfield defender, but the Belfast side hit straight back when Rodney Brown rounded Fergal Murphy to slot in.

Mark Beckett put the Blues ahead again when he converted an Andy Little cross, but then went on to conceed a penalty during an exciting first half.

Fergal Murphy was equal to TJ Murray's spot kick however, tipping the shot over the bar.

Johnny Hoy added two further goals in the second half before the celebrations began after the final whistle.

Vs Dungannon Reserves (20th April, Away, League)

Ballinamallard United Seconds are the 2012/13 IFA Reserve League Champions.

They only needed a single point, but goals from Darren Higginbotham, Neil Coulter and Gareth Liggett gave them all 3 with a 3-1 victory at Stangmore Park.

Higginbotham pounced on a defensive mistake to open the scoring before Dungannon equalised mid way through the first half.

Neil Coulter put his side back in the lead however with a bullet header from an excellent Gary Stewart corner.

Gareth Liggett completed the scoring when the Mallards were awarded a penalty just 50 seconds into the second half.

Massive congratulations to the Seconds players and staff on this fantastic achievement!

Andy Little gave the Mallards the lead in the opening stages, but a second half mix up between Matthew Quinn and Neil Coulter gifted Crusaders an equaliser.

That result leaves the Mallards with 4 points from their opening two games in the George Wilson Cup. They can wrap up the league title this Saturday when they return to league action against Dungannon Swifts.

It could be all over on Tuesday evening however if Cliftonville slip up in their league game against Linfield Swifts, whilst Ballinamallard take on Crusaders Reserves in the George Wilson Cup.
